Ms. Qi Yang has nearly 30 years’ experience in IP field for clients at home and abroad. She started her patent career in 1993 in Japan and had been working with Japanese patent law firms for ten years, where she was engaged in the patent prosecution and litigation for a number of leading global enterprises. Qi joined Jeekai & Partners in 2004 and has been a partner of Shangcheng & Partners since 2008. With her profound patent practice experience, she was nominated as technical officer by Beijing IP court in 2020 for the trial of patent administrative and infringement litigations, and has served since then, as one member of the trial panel, for the cases related to pharmaceuticals. She received her B.S. in physical chemistry from Fudan University and M.S. in Chemistry from Ochanomizu University (JP). She has gained high reputation from the clients all over the world. She has extensive experience in Chinese patent prosecution, invalidation, civil and administrative enforcement proceedings, licensing, FTO etc.
