On February 3, 2012, Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine ranks Shangcheng & Partners as one of the leading firms in China in the areas of both Patent Prosecution and Patent Litigation. Shangcheng is also one of "the new leading firms emerging in China" listed by the magazine.

The MIP ranking is based on the magazine’s five month-long World IP Survey research, which included extensive interviews with firms and clients. The ranking by MIP is a recognition to the firm’s constant commitment to providing premier quality services to great companies in the world.
