Mr. Xiaoling NIU attended a session explaining the revision of "Guidelines for Patent Examination" held in March (Mar-2017)

Mr. Xiaoling NIU, an in-house patent attorney, attended a session explaining the revision of "Guidelines for Patent Examination" held by the Examination Department of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) on March 29, 2017.  More than 100 practitioners from patent agencies and enterprises attended the explanation session.

Introduction to the details of the revised guidelines for the examination was followed by lively discussions among the participants regarding the points revised this time, particularly about inventions relating to computer programs in Part II, Chapter 9 and about supplementary experimental data in Part II, Chapter 10.
